The Commissioner Sassafrass is one of the oldest figures of the Infinity Knights society. He opened the first police department on Kayaclasch and according to the legend, invented the name of "Infinity Knights". By the time of the Inspector's life, he had already retired for centuries, but it was rumoured he was still alive somewhere.

Sassafras is known for his Cosmic Sporran, which contains unknown power and can be used as a weapon. Its power and abilities are on par with the Inspector's Optic Pocketknife.

History

In "Five Inspectors, one Time Booth", the five earliest inspectors found the old kitchen of Sassafrass and learned he discovered the secret of immortality. The Inspectors kept his secret and Sassafrass wasn't seen again for the classic series.

In "The Last Minutes", it is shown that the Infinity Knights reinstalled Sassafrass as their Commissioner during the Time Wave. In the episode he personally fights the Tenth Inspector and the Sergeant and is eventually sent back into the wave.
