Fiona Finch, played by Alexandra Moen, was originally cast for a one-off episode "Stare". Fiona saves the Tenth Inspector from the Snarling Lions but suffers a horrible fate.

At the end of "Stare," many viewers were very upset with Finch's fate. This sparked massive letter writing campaigns. Surprisingly, the protests worked, and Finch was later revived and became one of the Tenth Inspector's associates.
